Welcome!

Hello everyone! I have hopped on the blog bandwagon... why not, right? So, my very first blog entry... here goes nothing.

Adam and I moved to Boston for work after college (about 2.5 years ago). Sometimes it's hard to keep everyone updated on our lives out here, so I figured I would start a blog to keep you all up to speed. So far life on the East Coast has been great. We both work as engineers at KaZaK Composites, and though it can be stressful at times we both really enjoy our jobs. We have explored lots of New England since we moved here. Winters consist of snowboarding trips to New Hampshire and Vermont. Summers consist of camping and hiking in the White Mountains, golfing on the links, or going to the Cape. Kenzie, our crazy yellow lab, has adjusted to the big city life. She definitely prefers camping in the wilderness, but she doesn't mind her comfy leather couch in the apartment either.

Just recently Adam and I both decided to go back to school. We are taking graduate classes at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and working our way to a Master's degree. Adam is going for a Master's in Plastics Engineering and I am going for Mechanical Engineering. We are each taking two night classes after work this semester... at that rate we should finish in 2.5 years. That seems so far away! So far it has been a lot of work and we aren't even to midterms yet, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

The weather is finally starting to warm up out here and Spring fever is taking its toll on me. I can't wait to put away my winter jackets for the season! We are going to Mazatlan with my family at the end of March... I think lounging in the sun by the pool is just what the doctor ordered. Eight more weeks and counting...

That is all for now. I hope everyone else is surviving these last months of winter. Wishing you all the best! Until next time.
